Description

Small hop clover is a winter annual. It has branched stems that spread in a low creeping manner. The stems are red and hairy. The leaves alternate and are palmately compound. The leaves consist of three leaflets with the center leaf on its own petiole. The leaves have prominent veins. The flowers of small hop cover are yellow in color. They consist of clusters of 3 to 15 flowers. Small hop clover reproduces by seed. Small hop clover is found throughout the continental United States.
