Description

Summer annual with fleshy, creeping stems, rooting at nodes. Leaves fleshy, alternate, and narrowly lanced shaped. Leaf sheaths short with soft hairs on upper margins. Flowers in somewhat open clusters, blue to purple. Flowers summer until frost. Occurs in turf areas and most moist woods. Propagation: Seed and stem fragments.

Herbicide Use

Postemergence applications of two-to-four-way mixtures containing 2,4-D, carfentrazone, Dicamba, MCPP, MCP and/or sulfentrazone. Repeat this application in 7 days.
