fleabane has an upright growth habit.
Annual fleabane

Cultural Practices:
Annual fleabane is found in dry open areas such as roadsides and waste
areas. If the area can be cultivated, due so in the early spring. Due
to its upright growth habit, regular mowing will prevent flower formation
and seed development, preventing the spread of annual fleabane.
Herbicide
Use:
Make your post-emergent herbicide application to fleabane that is young
and actively growing.
